disculpa la pregunta este proyecto puede funcionar con windows o solo con linux gracias profesor

excuse the question this project can work with windows or just with linux thanks teacher

Me: My software requires Linux to run. You can get e.g. Ubuntu for free.

no i dont mean that !
i mean that my chassis is little bit smaller than yours. should i change some  parts of the code for determine to my machine which axis of value is the end point(max value of x or y axis) ??
for example my y axis is printhead which is from old printer and my x axis about 90cm lenght. so there is kind of differences between x and y axis max values..

thanx a lot and have a good day.. :)

Me: There are no max values to be set in software, thus you can build a machine in any dimension youd like. You must change the stepsPermm, however there is no option to set different values for X and Y axis, thus you must build your machine to have the same number of pulses per mm of movement in X and Y direction (or to modifications to the code).

hi norbert
i wanna do your v0.5 cnc project.but i have question about that.
i have a different cnc chassis and its kind of wierd chassis. but i will do that.
the question is my chassis has different dimension.how can i change x and y axis max or min ranges?which parts of software should I change?

Me: Do you expect me to teach you coding in a comment? How should I answer one of your questione without even having a look on your weird chassis? Have a look at the column contact to see how to send me pictures.

Will there be a v0.6, more powerful with pieces made by this machine?  Because that would be great. Also great job man

Me: Thanks! The currenly most powerful v0.6 is my CNC v3.2. You can add construction principles (e.g. the lead screw composed of plastic stripes) of v3.2 to the construction of v0.6 to get the best machine you can build with the tools available in your workshop.

Hi, this is a beautiful works, you invented a new standard of plotting open source.
I like so much your cnc software.
I'm not so expert in C or C++.
Can you put your cnc software into a sketch of arduino to make it work the file *.svg with
a SD card, maybe whit a lot of comment?
Compliments again.

Me: Thanks! The Arduino Uno has no build in SD card reader, thus I can't write such a sketch. With the existing open source software (that is available as download) you can use any Linux computer as host to send the *.svg files to the CNC.

Hallo Norbert,

Marvin

Me: Zum 101.

Hi.
Another great project from you, but i will stay focus at version 2.I am waiting for the bearings and i have all staff to start the build.
Thank you for sharing all these helpful infos.

Me: Thanks! Yes, CNC v2.0 is more a tool. Version 0.5 is for education. You can learn a lot when building an own CNC machine. Right now I am writing about CNC v0.6 which will be the evolution of v0.5. I'd like to improve the build quality so that I can cut the 1mm aluminum with higher precision. Stay tuned!
Would be nice to see your machine soon.
