Spaß bei Seite, aber so oder so ähnlich muss sich Wissenschaft auf fernen Planeten mit Hilfe von Rover'n anfühlen. Ich verfolge die Projekte und Forschungen auf homofaciens.de schon viele Jahre. Es ist sehr faszinieren, inspirierend und informativ. Wahnsinn, wie viel Zeit und Mühen in den vielen Projekten und anschaulichen Videos, zweisprachig und mit Untertitel stecken. Vielen Dank dafür, mach bitte noch lange weiter so. Gerne werde ich heute den Spenden-Button betätigen. VG Dominik

Mit R11 habe ich ein rotes,eckiges Objekt in seiner"nat.Umlaufbahn"beobachtet und mehrfach in Folge fotografiert.Richtung78,75°OzN(OstzuNord)aus dem Fenster der Forschungsstation taucht es bei guter Sicht relativ genau um11:51(CET)am Horizont auf und bewegt sich in Richtung WestzuSüd.Es hat bereits jemand vor mir endeckt und ihm den Namen"BusLM-45LimburgZOBNord"gegeben.Es gehört zu einer Gruppe von Objekten und ist Teil des"Geschwaders",welches man tägl.im RheinMainGebiet beobachten kann.
Me: Ein regelmäßig wiederkehrendes Objekt, scheinbar auf einer stabilen Umlaufbahn!

Today my robots were part of the Pi & More online event, so there was som extra traffic over the day. During the past decade my project page has shifted from creating a vehicle moving me to vehicles moving ideas: My robots. I am working on sending one of my rovers around the world in a post parcel, maybe it can go for a visit to you.
Ideas never die, they are just paused for a while until they reappear with improvements ;-)

Yeah nice! so eine idee hatte ich auch mal, nur mit mehreren verschiedenen robotern evtl. mit 3D hd live video und der möglichkeit mit den anderen zu sprechen und interagieren zb. was miteinander zu bauen oder zu spielen, erkunden, .. Quasi eine Art vrchat map nur mit echten Robotern in der echten wwwelt:]
Me: Thanks! Der laufende Betrieb mit meinen Robotern hat gezeigt, dass man es möglichst einfach halten sollte, wenn die Dinger wirklich rund um die Uhr erreichbar sein sollen - der Teufel steckt halt immer in den verflixten Details...
Zumindest hin und wieder werde ich Live-Sessions veranstalten. Die nächste ist am Wochenende vom 6.-8. November 2020 Zur sogenannten "Remoticon" von Hackaday, an der ich teilnehme. Mehr dazu demnächst...

Me: You can drive around with Rover R11. Click on the arrows of the yellow or green frame around the live picture. Top arrow drives forward, bottom arrow goes into reverse and left or right turn the rover around.

problem is that this version with this camera only takes pictures. i don't like that way at all
the actual camera from the retired curiosity pi is a live recording camera
should you replace picture taking camera with the recording camera
because i hate when pictures are taken from this r11 rover
Me: This project is meant to educate people rather than to entertain. Transmitting still images makes the software side more simple and so better to understand.

The robot transmits a series of still images to your browser which is why it takes a couple of seconds until you can see what the transmitted command did. Driving around is a bit like commanding a rover on a distant planet.
